Hi all, I have a 85 FXWG that is 96 cubic inches. I was wondering how much horse power a stock clutch can handle with out slipping.

Add more HP and Torque recommend putting a stiffer clutch spring in.

I have used the barrnett clutch on two of my builds and would reccomend them highly. Never had a problem with their tech support either it's top notch.

The clutch on my bike was up graded to the Riviera inner clutch hub, plates, discs and spring. But who ever installed it before I owned the bike buggered it up and cracked the key way and screwed up the main shaft. So I replaced the main shaft and got a good deal on a new stock inner clutch hub. So what I was thinking of doing is. Use ths stock clutch hub with the Riviera pressure plate and spring with stock plates and discs. Think it will work???

Barnett was always the popular choice for Japanese bike builders over the years. I've used several in street racers over the years. I would imagine they would be good in Harleys also.
