I have a 1961 Panhead with the original 4-speed.I recently converted it from a foot clutch to a hand clutch,I also added a belt drive primary. My problem is i cannot get the clutch to disengage.I am pretty sure the problem is in my clutch pushrod adjustment or my pressure plate nut adjustment. Any help would be greatly appreciated

if it doesnt want to disengage, the push rod needs adjusting....... check with the clutch mfg. it may need a longer pushrod...not sure on that tho......what type of clutch assy. did you use???? mousetrap or eliminator?

Not sure about your setup but the way I do it is

    Loosen cable adjuster
    Loosen clutch adjuster
Move lever in and out several times to set the ball and ramps

Return lever to a full pull
    Position next to grip

Start to tighten the clutch pack adjuster you will see the lever
start to move when you contact the rod

Adjust it til lever is full out then back off half turn and tighten set nut

Now set cable adjuster so you have about a nickles space when you pull cable back from lever mount
