    Effective July 1, 2016, the State of Nevada now recognizes concealed weapons permits from the following states:

    Alaska
    Arizona
    Arkansas
    Florida
    Idaho Enhanced Permit
    Illinois
    Kansas
    Kentucky
    Louisiana
    Massachusetts
    Michigan
    Minnesota
    Mississippi Enhanced Permits
    Montana
    Nebraska
    New Mexico
    North Carolina
    North Dakota (both types of permits)
    Ohio
    Oklahoma
    South Carolina
    South Dakota Enhanced Permit
    Tennessee
    Texas
    Utah
    Virginia
    West Virginia
    Wisconsin
    Wyoming

    Another reason to visit NV..

    Just make sure of the local laws on cc in each state you go through. There are variations in each state on how,when and where it's "legal"

    The Key here is that Nevada recognizes these states, not that these states are recognized anywhere else (though reciprocity is common these days).

    NY, CT and NJ allow CC, only to residents and you just can't get a permit as a normal human without going through hoops, or being someone who knows someone, and tossing some money at it.

    What they don't allow is reciprocity carry, NY is bad you CANNOT stop overnight
    in NY with a firearm if you are not a resident of the state with a permit, you can drive through, stop for gas and food but that's it, no overnight, and the gun must be locked up in a secure area without ammo.
