Correct cable lengths for 16 in apes on FXDL

    Hi all, just bought some 16 in apes with 2 in risers for my 03 FXDL. I need some help on knowing what is the correct lengfht for Clutch cable, brake cable, throttle lines and extension kit. I think I can do it but just wnat to ensure I have the correct lengths. Help Please>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

    when i change bars i use a flexable tape measure..made of cloth...(found in sewing depts) to get my correct length. you can zip tie the tape to the existing cable, then measure to the grips......................:)

    take the rise on your existing bars, then get the total length of your stock cable

    then subtract the exisiting rise from the new rise, add the difference to the stock cable and voila you have the length

    Say

    Stock Rise is 8 inches
    cables are 30 inches for throttle
    New Rise is 16
    Difference is +8 so you'd need +8 cables.
