It was 90 degrees all day yesterday, then in the evening heavy rain and heavy winds. Then lost power from 8:30 PM until 12:45pm the next day(16 hours). Got home after work (midnite) to a dark and humid house with no quick way to cool things off..geez. Can't sleep in that chit. Plus I am a creature of habit and am briefly out of sorts when out of my normal routine.

Some people still don't have there power now...24 hours...and counting. Luckily its not winter. Some are getting rooms in hotels.

I do have a switch panel and a 10,000 KW generac generator but hadn't quite got to the point..close..was getting dressed to pull it out of the barn when the power came on.

And its not even winter yet...

It got up to 103 yesterday at the 9-11 rally here. Was standing in line for a beer and this girl in front of me said she had sweat running into her glasses and now down her back. I told her, need some help. :p I got a wide eyed look.
It was better when the sun finally went down and the A/C was running at home, felt good. Gonna cool down now and start raining by Sunday.

After Sandy last year we got a 10,000 KW Generac hooked up directly to the gas line at the meter...Starts automatically, shuts down when power is restored and runs once a week for 15 minutes...We love it...

I almost did that after the 07 Hurricane triple play here, but the prices really
jumped, now they may be better with zero hurricanes this year so far..

I have a portable and a switch we can run lights, fans, and a small window shaker
    if needed plus two fridges...

The Generac would be nice as you can run everything.

Yesterday was the last 90 degree day we'll probably see till next summer. Cold front came thru last night and it's chilly out this morning. No tee shirt riding today LOL.

Maddog, myself and my wife went down to the beach house at Newport and installed at tile floor in the kitchen. He is a pro when it comes to tile work course he did it for a living for 30 yearns. He really knows his stuff. Anyway the weather was low clouds and 65 at the beach. We're going on a chapter ride today and its supposed to be 90 then next week there is rain coming in. So better enjoy it today.
