Had the Ghost Trigger guy at the gun show put a Rocket 3.5 trigger connector
in the G17. The stock Glock triggers suck JMO, and the Rocket really helped my G29
so went ahead and "pulled the trigger" on the connector, custom fit, now it's nice low trigger weight and super short reset which I like...

Also traded the rail light/laser combo, the other one that had a allen screw that
you tighten down would not stay on the gun, dang thing bounced off at the range
after two mags. Got a new one with a pressure snap pushed up by a spring nice
tight fit into the rail and snugs up to the trigger guard. Green laser which is easier to see.

The Edge has got some good reviews. My wife's 2010 Ford Taurus has been a good car to. She's already got 50,000 on it and no problems with it. I've got 50,000 on my HHR and have to say have not had any problems with it either, gets great gas mileage.

Nice! However that last picture is not the view of a Glock I ever want to see.

I always feel envious whenever I see a Gen 4, which are illegal here in California :meh:

Hadn't owned a Glock since the generation 1 Glocks.
    Had 4 of them.
Didn't know they changed the trigger pull on the newer ones.
I've heard a few problems with one of the generations.
Guess that explains why they wanted my Generation one so bad.

Traded all of them and a Beretta 92fs for 3.8 compact spring fields

Like the addition of the grip safety.

Yeah thats the business end LOL

You should see the end of my 44 Mag S&W 29 :nailbiting:

CB the trigger in my Glocks have been upgraded to the Ghost Trigger Rocket 3.5 lb connector, it really improves the trigger and reduces reset,

Yeah it's odd that CA hasn't approved the Gen 4 there's really not that
much difference than the way the grip is done.

I wonder whats going to happen with the new G42 and G41 Glocks coming out at shot (3.80 pocket glock and 45 competition Glock) for CA.

    I heard that the Glock42 is a 380 cal. I couldn't be happier with my Sig 29 40 cal.
Matter of fact thinking of trading off my XDM 3.8 40 cal for a Sig P226 Navy. I'd rather carry the P229 40 Sig.

Yes, I've often consider that! However my wife's job has her tied here and other family obligations are keeping me here (for now).
Gen 4 Glocks cannot be sold in California because they are not on the state DOJ roster.

All firearms in California must be on the state roster as certified for import, sale or use in the state. In order to become certified a manufacturer must submit each model for state CADOJ testing and certification process to be added to the roster. Each model must meet some specific design specifications and one newer spec I heard was that all semi automatic handguns require a magazine disconnect safety. I had also heard that the model must have a revised chamber load indicator, but not sure if that applies. Glock refused to modify their design to accommodate California and therefore opted not to submit any Gen4's, since they would be rejected anyway.

It is my understanding that there is a single shot exemption by way of a modification but it's probably more trouble than its worth. Glock continues to pay the renewal fees for their Gen 3 models which are still sold here, but only with a 10 rd magazine.

I wonder if the cops carry any of the new generation Glocks.
Bet the cops are not limited to a certain size mag either.

If you are a cop, you do not have to worry about concealment and getting into trouble.
So they can carry whatever they want.

Not true in every police/ sheriff department. Caliber , brand and magazines are dictated in many departments.

Generally cops carry as issued, only small towns do you see cops buying
    their own carry guns.

Ken yeah I'm familiar with that issue, kind of like Glock telling CA to pound
sand your people can have the last Gen3 and we're not paying you a nickle more.

FL you'd love the P226, keep your eye on this site, they get a lot of CPO sigs and have really good prices if you can't find a 226 CPO locally.

RIght now Buds guns in Lexington KY (one of the biggest internet gun brokers) has a deal on P226 NIB for $745

Talked with a Retired Marine who did time in Iraq and Afganistan.
He was also paid by a security company in the U.S. to provide
security for people there in Afganistan. His last year there was 2005 if I remember correctly.

He said the last pistol he wanted to carry is a 9mm pistol.

He said if you are with very many people or in a building and shoot a 9mm it will go threw one person and hit other innocent people behind them.

He got ahold of a 45 and got a lot of ammo for it.
And he toted it on him everywhere.
    This was his carry pistol.
He made or he had made aa 6.5 grendel especially for himself. He has a lot if rifling twist in the barrel.
He was trained buy the Marines in this field.
He said he was deadly accurate up to 1400 yards.

yeah there are tons of these kinds of stories any time someone starts
with those stories I roll my eyes, "Yeah I was a crack shot with a bolt action eye-talyun rifle, heck I could hit a gnats ass at 4000 yards looking into the sun
with underpowered ammo and no sights....... ":meh:

more people have been killed with a 22 or a 25.... and anything else, 9mm will do the job, 45 is a good round, it's all about placement, heck if it was all about boolit size we'd all carry 50's.....

My brothers son is a E-8 Green Beret served in both Iraq and Afghanistan and is scheduled to go back to Afghanistan soon. His specialty is weapons. Guess what his pistol choice is, a Glock 9mm with a 19 round mag. The guy is a warrior and has more combat medals on his chest than any soldier I've ever seen.
His life is F%^cked as he is stone cold. Can't keep a girl friend and parties very hard. But don't mess with him in war you won't win. Said he carries a 9mm because he wants all the rounds he can carry. A 9mm kills as well as any of them and don't think he worries about rounds going through a bad guy as there are just more bad guys behind them.

HRK, I went into Sportsmen Warehouse today and they had a P226 with the anchor for $999.00. I thought they were a bit high. I didn't realize how big that pistol is.
