How can you tell if a crank "scissors"?
    What does it feel like?
What kind of sound would it make?
    Could it come and go?

you will have low power because of the sumping, it will vibrate badly, and it will shuck out the oil pump eventually, I guess it is possible that it could come and go but I highly doubt it, Todd

if caused by sumping, check the relief ball/spring at the pump....
