Custom Exhaust

I am thinking about getting a custom exhaust made for my bike, do I have to put a finish on it if I am going to wrap them with exhaust wrap anyways?

What would you suggest that I coat them with?

What no Heat Shields.

I was thinking about the powder coat. Thanks, this rout may be cheeper in the long run. Who knows?

I have a buddy that will do the powder coating for next to nothing. I saw a custom set on a different forum that I absolutely liked. They were almost identical to the ones that I have now except the front pipe ran way closer and higher to the engine, maybe I could get away with just making one pipe?

Nope, I am going to go with a two into one, and you and I already went round and round about the supertrapps. I like the Bassani Pro Streets, but If I can get some made for cheeper, I will go that rout, if not, I will porbably just stick with what I have and wrap them. As far heat shields go, I can get them for my bike but it would just be a waste of money for what my prblem is. Also a waste of money because they are not cheep either.

I am looking at one of those links and I am reading that (of course I think that the information is bias), that the stepped headers is not the complete answer and that is what the Bassani Pro Streets are, but yes, that is similar to what it is that I would put on.
