Sounds like you reduced the trail too much reversing the 3° cups....JMHO:)

Trail is definitely off and I'd also check to make sure your wheels are in alignment. It is possible your springer is the wrong length for the frame you have and you tried to compensate by reversing the bearing cups. A stretched frame will necessarlly raise the gooseneck. I'm guessing that the stock springer is too short.

thanks 4 the reply's! I took the degreed cups out this morning and the bike is a cadillac with the stock cups. I lost a 1/2 " of ground clearance . This bike ain"t built 4 arkansas curves ( 3 &1/2 open belt ) but its sweet in the straight aways ! I really thought reversing the cups would work. i'll never try that again. Thx again!!!

getting the trail/rake wrong is a killer, literally...

Plug those numbers for your bike in the one I posted
it will tell you if you are in the safe range...

I'm running a 1 1/2" BDL open belt primary on my shovel and don't need any more. Unless you're a thrasher or like to drag race your scoot, 1 1/2" is good enough.

Just sayin' since you said you had some trouble with curves LOL.
