Hello all. (new guy) Hope this is the right place for this.

I ordered the deluxe tuners kit plus the V-Ductor for my sporty last week largely based on things I have read in this form over the past 2 weeks or so. Showed up yesterday. To my surprise the V-Ductor was not there. One quick email later and the part was sent right out the next day.

So if any one else is wavering based on past e-shopping nightmares, Ken provided an excellent level of customer service in my case.
I will not hesitate to order from Harley-Performance in the future.

    Thanks again Ken.

Up date. The new part arrived. I did manage to get the kit installed over the weekend. No real problems except, I could not use the #44 pilot jet. I could not get rid of the carb backfire. The bike had a 45 pilot and a 175 main jet. The kit came with 42 & 44 pilots and 170 & 175 main. I set up the carb per the instructions 44 & (new)175 and installed all the other goodies. As mentioned I could not get rid of lean condition going from Idel to Mid-range with the 44 pilot, even at 4 + turns out on the E-Just screw. So today I put the 45 pilot back in and got it dialed in @ about 3 turns out. Test ride went well, about 12 miles.

The weather is suppose to be nice this weekend, I should be able to put some miles on with fresh fluids and plugs. If so, I'll post a follow up.

Thanks again Ken for the great service.

Double check that you don't have any intake leaks, either around the boot seal or at the head flanges. This can increase the need for more fuel (larger jet) to overcome the leak.

This bike was an 883 right? Usually a #44 is plenty big enough but there's always that exception. Let me know if you need any corrections made to the jetting and I'll make sure you are taken care of.

    Hey Ken.

Yeah this bike is an 883. It is an 04. I have been told and read that 04's & up may require slightly larger jets than 03's and back due some changes in the heads that were made in 04. The local dealer said it would most likely need a 45 pilot and 175 main with AC and pipes. I would gladly mail you back the jets I did not use in exchange for a new 45 pilot if in fact that is what I end up using.

I will check for leaks. However, the bike has always ran fine since I have had it, been a few years now.

    Up date II.

Used carb/intake cleaner to check for leaks. With bike warmed up and at idle I, gave the manifold to head(front & back), manifold to carb and the sensor connection on top of the manifold a shot of cleaner. The idle did not react at all.

I put 33 miles on the new plugs bouncing around town last night :D
The plugs look OK to me, need a few more miles for a solid reading.
The EZ-screw is 2-3/4 turns from seat. I still had and occasional carb fart at 2-5/8 turns.

The bike feels strong for what it is (883 ). Throttle response is considerably better then it was prior (stock air box) to installing, SE AC and the kit + V-Ductor. The SE pipes have always been on the bike. The bike seems be about 3/4 of a gear quicker then it was, if that makes sense. I will have to pay closer attention to me speed until my feel for the bike adjusts.

Ken, I believe I will be sticking with the 45 pilot jet. Unless there is something you think I might have over looked?

note: I did not use the 7/32" drill bit to clean up the vac hole in the side of the slide yet. I figured that was a change I could not take back if things did not work out. ;)

I swear after my V-ductor install my front tire is comin up off the dam pavement, roll on throttle is great - mid range is smooth and wide open throttle is scary again!!! Best $50 I ever spent!!
