Maybe someone can help me with a problem and I would sure appreciate the help. I bought the stage one upgrade from Harley Performance. I took the slide out of the carb body to drill the offset hole in the concave end and didn't pay attention to which way the offset hole was positioned. Does the offset hole go towards the motor or does it make a difference? Again, any help is appreciated.

if my memory is correct, the slide will only work one way....not sure tho..it has been a while since i did a cv.....but, if ya look in the service manual that is over there collecting dust on the shelf.....you do have the manual, right???? best tool in the box.....also i believe the kit has directions on placement of the hole in the slide.....have fun, welcome to the forum, let us know how it works for you....

The slide has it's side blades offset so it will only fit back into the carburetor one way. But to answer your question, that vacuum port (hole) is at the back side of the slide, toward the manifold.
