Checked out the D&D website and saw the Police Interceptor mufflers so I called the D&D folks to find out if they had fiberglass or metal fiber packing. They have a combination of both but the tech guy that I spoke to guided me toward the slip ons that are made for the '10 Ultra 103. But the frustrating thing I found out is that the converters are in the head pipes and unless you replace the entire sytem, you only pick up about 3%. The dyno chart on the website showed more than that but then I guess they can create anything. Anybody had experience with the D&D stuff?

I have had the Boarzilla on my 124, great pipe, great fit, super chrome and sounded great.

I have the D&D slip ons my 09 RG and they sound great...

I talked to the tech service guy at D&D and he said the Police Interceptors would fit my bike but was steering me toward a set that he said was designed to work with my bike. Couldn't get any specifics as to why they would be better other than they cost several dollars more. He also told mea bout the cat converters being in the head pipe and that there's not a lot to be gained by just doing the slip-ons in that situations. Thoughts - anybody?

I haven't seen the setup so I don't know if you can remove it, but a cat converter in the headpipe is going to be the major restriction. If sound is all you're after, the slip-ons may be the ticket, but if better performance is what you're after, you'll no doubt have to go aftermarket for the whole exhaust.

Probably have to do that and everything else. The 103 has good power the way it is but if I can pump up the MPG just a bit plus since it's broke in a bit, it's very easy to hit the rev limiter in low and 2nd.:witsend:
