Got up yesterday and tooled into Tarboro and it was mighty crisp out. It's all secondary roads around here and much more fun than superhighways where everybody's going like a bat out of hell.

Hung out at Tattoo's and was dismayed to find out he didn't pick up he parts he ordered from Biker Barn. Then I rode to the Harley dealership in Rocky mount and discovered a new 2 laner to get there on. Just a gorgeous day for riding here - by noon it had warmed up to the low 80s. Looked over some of the new iron and hung out and talked with riders here and there. Met a geezer on a late model RG. He was 78 and still going strong and riding solo. His wife can't ride anymore.

Then spent most of the afternoon looking for new roads and adventures. Got home late afternoon and rested up for a mini blues concert at an old church on the other side of Tarboro. Tattoo & his girl and some of us went - I was the only one riding a bike. Concert was at 8:00 and ended around 10:00. A couple black guys, one playing guitar and the other played bass. It was a good time.

The church isn't used for worship services anymore - it's on private property tucked away in a wooded area. The owner, a friend of mine, took all the pews out and we sat on chairs. Very cool place, built in 1904 I think he said - same year Teddy Roosevelt ran for president.

I was looking forward to the ride home in the dark and was not disappointed. Temp was in the low 60s and just right for a nite ride. Got home around 10:45, grabbed a shower and crashed. Dang, it was a great day!:D

Well thats a good day in anybodys book, lol. Little this little that and all on 2 wheels. NC is motorcycle riders paradise. Thats what I miss about NC..you can take a left or a right out of my driveway and ride for hours and hours and hours and barely see a car or 2 or 3.

Joshbob, believe it or not you can get to Pink hill (south of Kinston)from my house...take a left and keep going straight, lol.

Glad to hear you got yer butt out of the house and went for a Ride.
Yesterday was a good day to ride.

Heard you say Roadglide. Got a couple of buddies that got the fever and bought one a while back, one just has about 3500 miles in his bike.
Asked him how he liked it, I had gotten the fever and come close to gettin one.
He said it ain't what he expected, he thought it was suppose to knock more wind off and that simply isn't the case. He miss'es his Old Electra glide Ultra.
But he surely does like the new 103 motor.

Yeah, it's hard to beat those big motors. Tattoo has bored and stroked his '67 shovel motor to around 103 ci. Replaced the Harley cases with S&S ones and running an S&S carb. With the straight pipes it's a real fire breathing dragon!

Dang, I wish I could figure out how to post pictures - I have a few of his bike. My wife is coming back from Raleigh today and I'm gonna try and enlist her help with this computer. She gave it to me when she bought a new one last year.

YOu need up go setup a Photobucket or account like that. Then you can upload pictures from yer computer in it.
Wait yer a teacher, you got kids to show you anything you need to know about a computer.
    Dang.

The shovel heads don't breath like a Twin cam.
And the latest twin can has the best heads starting like in 10 and up with the new 103 stock engine.
I think it was 10 or 11 that HD changed the gear ratio in the tranny making it much better.
