Got a friend that ordered a set of tires over the internet to save some money.
    They came in yesterday.
The indy shop is closed Wed and Thursday.
So he called Kingwood Harley to ask if he could bring his front and back tire down and git them mounted.
They told him if he didn't buy the tires from them that they wouldn't mount them.
He's also a MVP member and goes into this store all the time and buys stuff.

Its just money they would make to mount and balance tires.

I'd call the service manager or
someone he knows and let them know he's an MVP
and see if he can get them to do it.

My dealer didn't used to but
what I do is grab a service writer and ask if
I bring in the wheel would he get a tire
mounted, usually I end up giving the tech the $20 to $30
which JMO is a lot to pop a tire off a rim but
    it's cheaper than $150

Tell him to call around to
    some metric bike shops

He has a Screaming EAgle Street Glide with Black and chrome wheels.
He's gonna be kinda picky on who does it.

The dealership said they wouldn't do it and non of their other sister stores would do it either.
Oh Yea. well one of them got him to sign a waiver stating he got the Avon tires somewhere else and they mounted them.
I want to put the Word out on places like this and put a little hurt on them.
I like the dEalership, but when they constantly pull stuff like this both me and other folks Scream.
I want somebody there to wind up being called in on the carpet.
This kind of Bull**** has to Stop.

Ecxept for warranty work, the dealership never sees my bike. If I can't handle the repair, off to the Indy it goes.

I pull the wheels off my bike and take em into the dealer. Latus motors has just about the cheapest prices in the country for tire prices. So I buy the tires from the dealer but bring the wheels into them to get em mounted. :)

I'm trying to git people to email The Woodlands HD, Texan HD who is sister stores with Kingwood HD and complain that everytime you want something done to yer bike at Kingwood. Like puttin a aftermarket tuner on, It voids yer warranty.
Why do they not want the work you are bringin them.
And if you buy tires somewhere else they won't mount them.
And when you buy a siren from them for a Ultra that came with a alarm that you need to bring the bike in and have it programmed with the computer so the siren will work.

What do we need to do, Boycott all of their stores.

It pisses me off that they won't mount your tires when you buy them on the internet. Like they dont need the $25, and they're too busy! Savings at Dennis Kirk are too good to pass up, so I bought the tool and the rim protectors and do it myself at home.

It's only about 15-20 minutes to swap a tire, and you don't have to wait all day. Put some of those Dyna Beads in the valve stem for balancing, and you're good to go.

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Wonder why the HD dealer that did the work just had him to signa a paper statin the tires was his and did the work.
The mgr of the store heard him complainin and asked one of the mechanics if'n he was unhappy. He didn't want to git anybody in trouble so he said No.
I would of been screanming , they would of known I don't like the Policy's that they have , but some stores has ways around them.
I want the Policy's changed Immediately...............

I don't have to go to the Harley Dealer to git official Harley Air in my Tires to keep a Extended WArranty. ESP Plan.

if'n you buy tires over the internet, and take em somewhere to git em put on.
What do you want out of the person that put em on.

I bought some tires somewhere else for my truck. Had em roatated at Discount Tire and bought warranties thew Discount tires to warranty them.

I just want them to perform a simple service that I pay for. I'm not asking for a freebie. It's not much money for them, but I will bring them more bus. in the future. Besides, they still have to pay the mechanics even if they're standing around eating donuts.

If they refuse my small job, I will never go back there for anything, and will bad-mouth them to any one who asks. How much money / bus. do you think they lose then?

Living in a very small town, I don't have many local places to buy stuff I need. Like tires. So almost everything I get comes from internet dealers. I bought Dunlop tires for my truck from Discount Tire Direct that were cheaper than the local tire shop could buy them, including shipping. He charged me $80 to mount and balance them, and I still saved $150. He didn't like it, but that's what competition's all about.
