went to California in 07, having lived in Colorado most of my life I wanted to go across the dessert and see the Salton Sea, about the time we got to Blyth CA, I was getting pretty hot, so we turned south and went through Glamis, CA, where the sand dunes are, the hottest place on earth. Forgot to mention it was the 1st of July and 120 degrees and no shade anywhere, thought I was goin' die that day. Going to do the same route this year only in May.
