Doc Watson critical . . .

    Just wanted to mention that Doc is in critical condition at a hospital in Winston/Salem, N.C. If any of you haven't heard any of his music before, check him out on You Tube.

    The first Doc Watson concert I went to was in 1979 in Monterey, California. Also saw him several times here in N.C. and a couple times at Merlefest in Wilksboro, N.C.

    Well, boys, as I'm sure you all know by now, Doc passed from the scene yesterday. I saw him more times in live performances than any other musician, the last time in nearby Tarboro about 3 years ago when he was 86. When he finished his concerts, he always left you feeling better than when you came in. He had a great, God given abilty on the guitar as well as the harmonica and will be sorely missed by us all . . .
