    Local dealer wants $370 for a HD belt..Aftermarket(Gates) are about a HuneredDollars less...I can get a Dayco/Panther belt from local dealer for same as a Gates...Are Panther belts good quality belt??Trying to find HD/Gates quality without paying for the logo... Having a hard time finding some one can order a Gates...runnin' outta season:banghead

    I changed my belt 26k ago with a brand I never heard of(Indy said they were good belts). My records don't show the brand(nuts). But it still looks new. $228.98. Harley belt had a chunk out of every fifth thooth. I'd go for the saving $$ as long as it's not Chinkees

    Dennis Kirk has Gates belts or Dayco for under 200. I think I have a Dayco.

    That's right. I'm thinking any AMERICAN made belt will suffice and save you money, too. I use BDL belts and have had no problem with them.

    You try UAP or CARQUEST? they should have a belt catalogue you could order out of.

    Phil did me right on tappets & push rod seals. Less costly than J&P, plus he's a nice guy and will talk with you.

    LOL...Found his website last night after my 10th or so Redneck Bud....
    I'll check again but don't think he ships to Canada...I dont think I could find a Gates...there either...innernet research says Goodyear/Falcon belts don't last... lucky to get 40,000 outta them
    He did have Panther belts

    That is really high as even Dennis Kirk belts run around 194.00 and their gates belts.

    Jon at Horney Toad HD if you want to buy a stock belt.. tell him you are on the web boards he gives a good discount usually 20 to 25% depending on the part.
