I'd be there, but my drive belt just went, too! That and you're smack-dab middle of tornado country. Been in them before, not interested in doing it again. Out West our ground may move a bit, but I can deal with that. Hate dem twisters.

Drive belt is a PITA. Make sure you do it right if you are doing it yourself. Take your time. If you take it to a shop it is about 5 hours of labor on top of parts......but it is better than doing it wrong yourself. Don't EVEN ask me how I know (which means everyone will...but I'll leave it at that).

It can't be that hard to put a drive belt on. Look how easy the old one came off :D

What's with all the broken belts  Is there a manufacturing problem

I got over 70K on mine

i have 50k on mine......if/when it breaks, i am going back to chain.....only reason i will go back to chain is the ease of repair along side the hiway. the belt is hands down better than the chain, until it breaks.........

They have repair kits for belts if you pop one on the road

The new HD Kevlar belts are three times as strong as the chain,

Even had a full bagger hanging in a balance deal at the conventioncenter on a 1/4 of a bagger thin belt...

I'd stick with belts they can go 100K

Chains need lube, cleaning, spray oil, noisy.....
