Earlier this season I noticed that the crank revolutions somehow wasn't set in my ignition. At first I thought it was Derek just not setting it. So I went to the computer and reset it and saved it to the Epromm.

Now my bike (2001 FLTR) has been real finicky this season for starting. Last season I did somewhat fry one of the terminals on my battery but was able to get it tight. As far as starting goes after that, seemed like no issues till this year.

Is it possible that if there is a weak battery present that the ignition will kick out settings programmed like a crank revolution setting or similar? Thanks.

Doubtful, if you are having hard starting problems
its generally the first signs of a battery going out.

Strange. Any thoughts as to why it would do that?

Yes but then once a setting has been saved to the Epromm then it should never change unless I or someone changes it. Correct?

Request data from map edit data on map (cranking delay) then reload map with changes .it must be done this way or it will just default back to normal.with out the numeral delay of spark .it can not be erased but it will have to be checked in the box every time you load the map!

Now that I have been plugging my bike in it has been starting the way it should be. That is a relief.
