Timely article, as I've been shopping around for a DR650 lately. Haven't pulled the trigger yet (catching up on other $$ issues first) but am likely to buy a new one this winter. It will save me from having to truck my dirt bike out to the trailheads during scouting/hunting seasons.

I did have a great time; I just wish I wasn't rushed. I'd also like to get a little more off road. Now the bike has new tires, but we just got 2 feet of snow. :gah: Still a little chilly here. There might be an opportunity in the next couple of weeks though.

A kit to plug the tire on the road would be good, but it wouldn't have helped here. The tire was dry rotted and cracked all the way around. It was just really strange that it was fine while my rather large son rode it all over Fort Collins, twice, and then went out on me. However, me being the mother bear that I am, I'm glad it went flat on me and not him.
