Got a new back tire, and the thread is softer than the E3's so they grip the road better.
And no tow bikes runs the same place in the road. The tires track about a 2" place in the road.

    The OL even felt it.

Think it might of been some sand near one of the places where there was a groove in the road where it looked like somebody might of run on a rim.

They have a big crawdade craw fish festival up here every year. Fresh caught and cooked the same weekend.

The only tire besides the Venom that I ever had trouble with is the Metz. Had one shread apart on me leaving me stranded on a holiday Monday. Went back to Dunlop and have never had a problem. The new fat Dunlop tire on the 09 seems to be wearing real well and grips excellent. A bit of loose sand, gravel or a oil spot can leave a little puker factor on yea.

Bout 3 yrs ago, there were some Metz tires that were made in Brazil that gave problems.
No metzlers made anywhere else has given any problems.

Maybe I picked up a Metz tire from Brazil but have not tried another sense then. That tire only had a few thousand moles on it when she came apart.
I had a lot of work keeping the bike under control doing 65 MPH when it went.
I put the Elite 2 then a 3 on the rear after that and was very happy with them. :D

Need to watch when you buy a tire how long its been on the shelf too.

I've ran E2 and E3 tires, the rubber is too hard for me.
I ran the E3 about 2500 miles on the back of my bike and took it off and gave it to a friend.
I was going on a trip to the Hill Country and got a new Metzler Mu85B16
