EL Camino

    She only gets about 9-10 miles per gal. and I have a suspicion that it may have a 411 rear end in it, seems kind of wound out at 55 MPH. Need to pull the cover and count the teeth. Chuck you have any idea what a good gear set would be, wouldn't mind a bit better mileage as I think the tank is around 15-17 gal. tank. Used to have a six in it and someone put a 350 in her.

    nice ride . set of gears in the area of 3;55 & a liter foot will help a little on that 350 as there not realy know for good mpg

    Even light footing it and 55 on the freeway its 9-10 MPG. Getting her up to 60-65 it feels really wound out. I'm thinking of finding a whole rear end with a higher gear set and replace the whole thing versus replacing it then having someone set up.

    a rear gear in the high 2's low 3's should improve the fuel economy....
