i have heard from many about the flimsyness of the inner fairing holding brackets. found out how flimsy first hand today. the repair is easy. i used a piece of thin steel, bent into a 90degree bend. drill a hole for the moco allen head screw, then drill and pop rivit into the old bracket. this repair is on the uppermost attachment to the inner fairing. i did the same to the other side just for reinforcement puposes. it is the screw just to the inside of the speakers. i should have done this sooner, would not have had the problems.....sorry, no pics....repair was done in about 15 minutes....piece of cake, and there was still daylight so riding was still on my mind!!!!!:D

Chuck now that a good repair thanks for the info , So far I have only the 3 across the windshield go bad , I took some 3m for side trim on cars & put it in the holes & reinstaled the brass fitting & put all back together in about 30 min (set-up time)
