I lost my username and password to this account but found it after I created the Davese account. So please reply here. Thanks

I had Harley install a big bore kit (1450 to 1550), new cams, and pushrods and lifters. Since then it seems there is ALLOT I repeat ALLOT more heat coming from the engine now and it even seems that sitting at idle for a period of time the idle seems to go down and almost seems like it may stall, I don't let it as I keep the throttle turned a little, so I don't actually know if it will stall.

Anyone know what i should do or what it could be and do you think that heat deflectors will help IF the heat is normal?

It is a 2002 Heritage FLSTCI.

    Thanks

I agree it's probably tuned to lean. Seems some of the HD shops tune em like that trying to get the max power. Had an 03 Ultra that I did the same thing to and it would get really hot. It would also ping when going up a steep grade or under a load condition. Had it set a bit richer and it took care of it.

i have a 107 and i thought it was running hot, BUT, i installed a temp stick in oil tank and it stays around 200. bike is tuned pretty good by s&s settings. runs and starts good. when i got to work the other morning, a co worker rode his classic in. you could put and hold your hand to the oil tank on my bike, but couldn't his though his is stock. the temp stick is off our his stock bike runs hotter than my 107!!!!!!!:wtf:

    Thanks guys for your input.

I will bring it into a shop I trust here and see if they can make it richer or at least check that out.
