Hey Guys I've got 2014 Ultra. (Non liquid cooled). Living here in Floreeda, Seems like I go into the 1 cyllender mode every time I stop at a light. My 09 SG would do it occasionally on a real hot day in traffic. Anybody else experience the same sittuation? 'think something wrong may be causing this. Does the 103 run hotter than the 96???

Charlie even my 110 does it even at 85 here and mine has the water cooled exhaust heads. I think they are programmed to kick in earlier than before.
I keep thinking of removing that feature and just run it normally but it really doesn't hurt them to run in limp mod.

Yeah, I want it to come on,'just thought something may be wrong causing it to come on so soon.'Seems like everyone else experiences the same phenom. I'll probably go get a downlooad from H-D.

Charlie did you hear back from Fuelmoto yet. I've done the head pipe conversion and now the Fuelmoto muffler conversion. I know I've leaned it out and my gas mileage has greatly improved but know it's running hotter.

Charlie, before you dump money at HD, you should be able to turn on the rear cylinder cut out yourself by rolling the throttle forward, with the bike turned on but not running, roll the throttle backwards, the Cruise light should start blinking, once it turns green that system is active, you do the same to turn it off, let it blink until orange.

If you are running the stock header I'd suggest you contact Fulsac Performance and order the stock header replacement, they send you a stock HD header with the cat cut out, you pay a core then ship them back your stock header when you replace it and get the core charge back, or you can get their custom performance header, both fit under the stock head shields and both get rid of the cat.

If you have stock pipes you can do the same and get re cored mufflers that look stock but have open baffles, you just do the exchange thing. Similar to FLHT and myself only on CVO's you can do the baffle swap yourself.

If you are going to tune it since you are in CFL, I'd suggest a Mastertune TTS buy it from California Phil as a Kuryakyn part and get a discount, then go over to Clermont FL and get Doc to tune it, he's one of the best in the country.

That way you get a custom tune for your bike vs a drop in whatzit tuner..

I live in Southern Cali. I love the cylinder cut out. Even if I run an errand in shorts it keeps my legs from burning. I love the feature. It works great!

But you have to read the owners manual on how to turn it on and off. It is very easy. Also, the owners manual (for 2015) says it will come on if the ambient temp is over 80 degrees and when I check the temp it is always 81 or higher. I think that is perfect.

I allready have a gutted stock ex. pipe,V&H twin slash mufflers. I like the rear cyl.cut off feature. Only wondering if it cutting off so much more often than my ;09 was normal.

My 14 cuts out whene its in the 80's so think it's normal for the newer bikes. We rode a 230 mile ride today and it was 99-102 out. Man was it warm. My right foot next to the exhaust would get hot so had to keep it on the highway peg. Probably running leaner sense doing the pipes and header pipe. Going to look into the HD Tuner
Now my wife's 2004 ultra trike was really running hot. Her left lower leg got burned through her jeans. Gonna have to take the lowers off for her.
