Sorry if this is a wrong topic I am new here , be nice.

    I just installed a Combination Speedometer/Tachometer gauge.
After going through the set up with out a problem, I took it for a ride
and all was reading fine with the exception that the were strange
characters flashing off and on through the ride in the speedometer
part of the gauge. I found the error code U1097. So i cleared it
rand the bike for 30 sec and tested for the error code again
    and None.
But the strange characters still flash once and a wile.
    Any one have any ideas.
    No other error codes.
    Bike is a 2007 FXDB.

    Thanks

    Steve

All uart codes are control area network codes . Body chassis ecm comm codes are you sure that the speedo is can compatible ? Some thing on the comm bus is not happy. And not able to respond back to a specific module on the network .

Yes its made for my bike. I would not buy it if it wasn't. Only thing this combo does not do on my 2007 is show the gear
your in. Only 2008 and up does.
The Code that comes on looks like PSSP6
The 6 when you hold the reset for 5 sec shows ( No RSP ), and the tach works.
Ill try to reset that today.
