Tuesday a group of us Vets from all branches of the service escorted the traveling American flag on our Harley's. It started back east and will travel to all 48 states. We escorted the flag from Portland to Kennewick WA and from there it travels into Montana. At each point the flag is passed on to the next group in a small ceremony. This was my second time being honored to help in this flag run. I wish that all people in our great country realized what our flag represents to us all and the sacrifices so many have made.
We all had a really great time and meant many new friends. There is something about veterans and what many do.

Yea he got into two of the pics. It was a lot of fun. Boy that old fashioned milk shake (mine was Huckleberry) was really good. Glad we went home up 48 through the MT Hood forest instead of through the smoke of that fire in the Columbia Gorge.
Fatboy sure wish you were out here.

See, my old brain can still remember meeting him a few years ago when you were in Arizona. Didn't ya buy a house in Prescott? What is it a winter home?

What! We don't have any house in AZ however we have close friends in Prescott area. I wouldn't trade living in Oregon for AZ anytime.

Thanks for posting the pics. I know a lot of vets in our area but I've not heard when the flag is coming through N.C. It may have already come through. What a great way to make new friends, show solidarity for our great country and remember and reflect on the cost of our freedom.

Josh you should of seen our two group from Oregon and Washington after the Washington boys meant up with us. The American flag was then unfolded and was flown on the back of one bike. We had to keep our speed down to 50 do to the flag but what a sight with all the Harley's and our flag flying. Was really cool.

Would've liked to see a picture of the guys riding and Old Glory waving in the wind. Better yet, a short video . . .
