My Ironhead has gas tanks like the old fat bob. The two tanks hold 2.5 gallons. They are just connected by two pieces of hose. That means when the petcock is on reserve there are ten miles of gas to make it to some gas station. When reserve runs out one just has to lean the bike over to the petcock side. Today I fugured that rushing right to some gas station when reserve is switched to allows a lot of ethanol to build up because of all the gas that is in the tank when it gets filled up. That let me ride untill I had to start leaning the Ironhead over to put enough gas into the petcock side to make it to a gas station. I had to purchase 2.5 gallons of gas. I bet the gas will now end up being better quality. Thirteen equals good luc.

It don't get that cold in Texas for you to have to store your bike that long.

I just heard the other day on my pickup truck's radio that Texas is trying to reduce the amount of ethanol put in gas.

    That would be nice.
But the EPA controlls that. And the EPA said NO.

I have been emailing and calling my senators daily asking them do DEFUND as much money to the EPA because we are spending borrowed money for their mandates.

And just like any other worthless government agency, they always overstep their boundaries and become bigger and more intrusive.
BTW, I use a dollop or two of MMO when I fill my gas tank and it works fine.

So whats the point, Bush put the ethanol mandate into law,

Now it probably was to offset the massive imports because
the D house and senate would not vote to increase the Drill Here Drill now program, and the shale oil production wasn't in full swing nationwide.

EPA is run by the Administration, they just enforce the laws as written
by congress, EPA can't change it...
