Now I know that AFNurse has been boring you all with stories about riding in Germany, but hey he is RIGHT!!! There is some really good riding here. If any of you ever get the chance to do the European Bike Week then go for it. I was there last year. Unbelieveable. We drove from Frankfurt, Germany to Faaker See, Austria. We did a 2 day backroad / pass drive there (Germany, Italian, Austria) and Interstate ride back. I have to admit that i found the two day ride the best. We stopped at the top of the highest pass in Europe "Timmelsjoch 2509meters" to take a few pictures. (If you see the pic I am the 3d from the left.) I hope I do not offend anyone by listing a link here. I am not in a club. This is a group of guys and girls that like to ride bikes here in Frankfurt. We are NOT an MC. http://www.frankfurter-abteilung.de/index1.html click on the link, hit pictures, 2004, Faaker See. That was one of the best tours I have ever made. After leaving the area where we made the pic we had to drive over the summit and there was a small tunnel. Well I about crapped my pants as I saw large spots of ice on the road in the tunnel. But hey we all made it through in one piece and spent the night in Italy.

I can only say over and over again that this was a GREAT TOUR. The scenery was beautiful but some idiots were wanting to get to the rally to fast and thought they needed to speed it all up. I will not make it to Faak this year but when I do go again I am going to take a 2 to 3 day trip getting there and two days back. Leaving one day for recovery after arriving at the rally.

Just FYI, the First day ride was about 750km or 470miles, the second day aobut the same. Believe it or not no HD Breakdowns on the way there and we had a few pans with us. OK we did have to stop once or twice to change a cable or plugs on the one pan but hey "No Breakdowns". The interstate on the way back was a bit more hel* on the pans. One guy threw out his transmission and the other guy told me that he had to tighten every screw on his bike after he got home. He was a bit upset at the Sportster riders because after about 5 hours on the bike we picked up the pace in Germany and did some interstate tag.

    Bout time

Hey Coldtoe and thanks for the answer. I guess we will just have to meet up sometime and you will have to give me the whole scoop about the coldtoe.

Glad you liked my vest. That was only the back I still have to get one last patch on the front. Maybe I will send my sister a pic of the front the few days.

Take care and if you do not ride for me today then I will ride for you tomorrow.

    :)
