Hello, I am putting a 1969 shovelhead (generator style) motor into a softail frame, I am at a loss for the exaust pipes, does anyone know if the stock exaust from a rigid frame will work? or anyone know if there is a manufacturer that makes this combo.

The sof tail exhaust might work , but where it goes into the head is a different set up , you might have to cut & weld the top of the pipes so it will bolt on

nope, softail pipes are for evo's, welding the shovel flange onto the pipes is ok, but the shovelhead is a generator style motor, (different bends around the down tubes)

I have already cheched into that, the problem with regular exaust shops is that when they make the bends the pipe gets smaller in the bends and also wrinkles in a radious, for an example, look at your exaust on your vehicle. it takes special dies and machines to bend pipes for motorcycles, none are around here.

CHeck with Phil, I think one or more companies sell the bent pipes in a U shape, you just
need a good saw to cut the blanks and make your own...

    California Phil's Concordia, KS (785) 243-9991

He might also know of a company that makes pipes that would work.
