Currently running SE ll slipons on 04 1200R sportster with SE intake and K n N filter. Thinking of changing to a Thunderheader 2-1 exhaust this winter, anybody find a difference in power with a 2-1 exhaust or does it just make a different exhaust tone? I'm usually at 2200-3200RPM and I shift always below 5000rpm. I don't need a race bike, just usable torque around town and decent fuel mileage on the highway.

Don't know about the power but in my opinion Thunderheaders are too loud and fatiguing after a long ride...

GENERALLY , a 2-1 will give power increase BUT as to wether its more torque or more hp and where it resides will depend on your complete package and tuning of that package.

thunderheaders are a bit on the loud side & a different tone then se11 , the super trap has a deeper tone & a bit more HP , a friend of mine had T header on his E Glide 95 in & after a 500 mile round trip took it off said it drove him stupied after about 200 miles , but if your just running around town it should be good

I'm planning a few long trips next summer once the larger gas tank is on, maybe I'll hold off on the exhaust until I hear one in action. I have a wife and kid to drive me stupid with noise, need the bike to be the same, thanks.

Bassanni Pro Streets are really nice for a Sportster. They are the ones that I have on my Sporty. they make power and they are loud.

Nice vid, I hate to admit it, but at idle it sounds identical to my buddy's 2002 Road Star with aftermarket exhaust, something named Bub and they are short. At idle it is like that. Sounds awesome. I know, its just a Yamaha... but I still let him ride along. He has to park on the road at my house though. LOL
