I currently have Pythons on my 01 Dyna Wide Glide and do like them but I have had to get them welded a couple of times and now the heatshield brackets are starting to brake off, so I am looking at getting different pipes. What I have found on Ebay and like the look and price are as follows.

Hooker Rebel Straight Cut for 260.00 DK Trader
Harley Screamin Eagle 2 into 1 250.00 Private
Porker Switchblades little over 100.00 DK Trader
Rinehart 2 into 1 with Single O2 Sensor Dk Trader

Don't know much about these pipes they are all for 91-05 Dyna. The Rinehart is throwing me off due to the O2 Sensor, but I know they make caps for that.

Any opinions on these different exhaust systems to help me make a decision would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

What are you looking for? Looks, sound, performance? The 1st 2 are subjective, the 3rd is not & a 2-1 pipe setup narrows your powerband - typically 3000-4500 rpm.

I am looking for something in all three of those catagories, I love the sound of loud pipes. But I also like performance and looks to be just as equal as the sound. For some reason 2 into 1's have been catching my eye for a while, but if I am going to be restricted with those pipe then I will go with something else.

This is the way I look @ it, which not only works for street / road bikes, but for the bikes that set Land-Speed-Records - what is the goal? What is the result I want to accomplish? And how much will it cost? Is performance the most important thing? For me the answer is yes. Great looks would be nice, but that's secondary, a Harley sounds like a Harley & while I like loud @ the racetrack, I do not in daily riding. Consequently, the pipes on a race bike & street bike do not look the same & they're actually quite different.

So for performance, in your opinion what is the best exhaust out there? or What would be the best of the four above? I know a little about Rinehart, but don't know anything about Hooker, Porker, or the Screamin Eagle. That is why I was asking for opinions on which would be the better exhaust, along the lines that you put. Because in all honesty who doesn't want a great performing exhaust? Again thanks for guiding me in the right direction on actually what I am looking for and that would be performance, then looks.

Appears that you've got an '01 Dyna, so that would be the pipes that came on it, with the stock mufflers replaced with older "Screamin' Eagle" slip-ons, or equivalent from KromeWerks, Cycle Shack, etc. You can easily spend $500 on an exhaust system & LOSE power.

I loved my Vance & Hines Big Shots on my Dyna Street Bob (2007). I'm not sure if the fit the 06, but I'd look in that direction. They sounded great, mighty, but not obnoxious, excellent improvement in performance across the power band and they look really sharp, especially with the slash billet end caps. Good luck.

I had the hooker longshots on my 98 dyna (Evo), sounded real good with no noticeable drop in HP or torque. I had first stage and heavy breather on it!

I have to agree with Hellboy. V&H Big Shots are a great set of pipes, makes a sound of a much bigger motor, and good performance, and look good too.

I have the V&H Big Shots, but I've had them for years and I'm getting tired of them. I'm seriously considering the Samson Caliber 2-1 with the black heat shields. Someone here got them recently, and I love the way they look, but I thought the 2-1 were supposed to be good for performance.

Just recently installed a set of SE Fatshotz (made but Supertrapp) and really like htem. They're a couple of dB's louder that stock but maintain the low rumble much better than stock when letting off the gas. On the way down the Interstate today I noticed that where I usually hold the throttle to maintain 75, I was showing 83 to 85 so I reckon I better let off the throttle a bit. Looks like the Fatshotz gave me a bit more performance and if I can make myself let off the thottle, I'll be getting better MPG's which is mainly what I'm after. But I really like the rumble when I back off the throttle.:):)

I've been thinking about V & H True Duals, friend has them and they aren't as loud as my Big Shots Staggered.

We run Vance & Hines Big Radius on the wife’s 07' scooter. They look good (personal opinion), sound good (also personal opinion), and perform very well ( and that’s the opinion of the ones that only saw tail lights once the throttles were twisted).:roflmao:
