Exhaust question

    I feel exhaust coming from the clamp area where the exhaust slips onto the pipe I tightened the clamp but it was tight enough, I installed the new exhaust but did not know if the stock exhaust did the same thing or not. any help?

    are you using harley clamps, and torquing them to the required specs???

    I looked this up in my repair manual, you should get one, the factory book is the best.
    You will find the repair manual to be the most important and most used tool you will ever own.
    The clamps torque to 45-60 ft-lbs.

    go to an autoparts store
    get some copper silicone in a tube

    it will help seal and make it easier to
    remove the muffler should it need to be.

    you won't have a leak then... Goes inside the muffler head
    and slip it then on the header then clamp.
