The V&H fishtails on my Springer are extremely loud, to the point of being almost obnoxious. I have a set of Harley fishtails that I pulled the baffles out of but there still to quiet. If I could find a set of fishtails where the sound is someplace in-between I would be happy. Can't hardly ride through the country, even trying to keep it down without scaring the heck out of horses and other live stock.:(

Now I have been emailing BCT over a two day period and they are recommending to install the baffles at a min. of 3" from the exit. Does anyone dispute this??? If so why???

The big thing about exhaust is just slapping on any old header with any old muffler won't work as well as figuring out which parts work best with which parts, and tuning the bike to the exhaust.
