Went with my Brother and Maddog plus approx 400 other motorcycles on this ride. The man who started this a few years ago is Rockie Lynne. Rockie is a country western music star who has done a lot for our troops. I meant him and talked to him and he is a genuinely very nice guy.

We all rode to 3 fallen soldiers homes meant their families. It was just and incredible experience.
Rockie rode a Harley that was donated to the ride by Salem Harley Davidson who also donated money to the fund for the families children. Have a few pictures and the last ones are at my moms place where my younger brother also lives. They honored each family at each stop for their sons sacrifice. It was simply amazing and many an old vet standing who was standing at each ceremony wept.

After the last stop at my brothers place we went to a concert put on by Rockie Lynne. The man can really sing and sing well. Check out his web site I posted.

First pictures are at the Harley Dealer then the Oregon memorial park for Oregon's fallen soldiers. Then onto each family and heard the stories about each of their sons and the courage and honor they had.

They did more rides to fallen solders homes on Sunday but the high heat got to me on Saturday so we stayed home. Next year they will travel to central Oregon and it will be an overnighter.
Josh the country western singer Rockie Lynne is from your neck of the woods in North Carolina.

We have "Homes For Heros" where homes get built or modified for wounded soldiers. We had a ground breaking past Saturday and in August we escort the Marine hero and his wife to their new house. He lost both legs above the knee in Afghanistan

That is very cool Fatboy we need to do everything we can for our troops. I found out yesterday that my brothers other son who is a Green Barrette in Afghanistan is in a real bad situation. Intense fighting and they have lost over half of their group over the weekend. Our whole family is very worried and my brother is very nervous about the situation. Rockie Lynne led a prayer for him at my brothers place.

Damn Marc, I couldn't imagine what your family is going through now. I wanted to pull one of my dons from Iraq using the "Sullivan" rule but the boys wouldn't have it. Some prayers coming brother.

His dad talked to him about this and it was his sons choice to go back. He didn't have to as the military gave him a choice. His son James is a true warrior and we all worry about him even after he retires, if he makes it that far.
