Went shooting yesterday and took the XD 40 and the Ruger SR9C. Man that Springfield XD shoots way better than I can hold it. Nice feel in the hand to. Good luck shooting and have fun.

man nice gun went through couple hundred rounds between me and the wife and I really like it...little more practice needed as still shoot my blackhawk more accurately...just need to get use to the short length I guess....hate to admit it but the wife was on target better than me. she wants her own but something smaller and with less kick....if any u guys wives have a conceal auto let me know what type..gonna start shopping for her. Getting a class lined up for group of good friends to get our concealed permit in the next few weeks..want to get her something before then and a little practice for her to get use to it. Also shot a buddys ar15 which is lots of fun..will have to put one on the wish list:D really had a good time today...love throwing lead around:cool:

Ruger SR9C is very nice and light weight. Very good trigger pull.
    Ruger SR9c Compact 9mm Semi-Auto Pistol

Kahr also has a real nice 9mm, great trigger pull.

Walther PPS 9mm small light single stack for easy conceal, even in purse

Sig P250SC 9mm double stack but DAO which will be very safe, every pull
is exactly the same long, smooth (Think revolver) no safety to screw up or worry
about, safety is trigger if finger not on it gun won't fire. safetys harm more people
    than help.

Berretta Nano very good sub compact

Also consider revolver, SP101 Ruger, S&W airweights with Crimson Trace grips,
DAO, easy to conceal, light, goes bang all the time
