    First Ironhead, any advice?

Just bought an 82' XLH:D . Shows around 30K and is bone stock. Never been rebuilt, but I belive it has been well taken care of by the looks and sound of it. Starts well when cold, tracks straight, sounds fine. I've always had Evos so I am not sure what to expect. I am planning on a 3000k mile trip very soon and would like some advice on;which repair manual to bring, essential tools, pre-trip advice, what could most likely break,etc.....I don't ride hard, just long hours. Thanks to anyone who can help with anything.

Spark plugs and variety of tools. Best tools in the box will be the manual and a cell phone. Good luck!
