For all Greybeards

you need the full link to the video if you are going to post it in the forum
as a URL, those links are just to Youtubes main page.

If you want to imbed the video so it shows up in the post
select Go Advanced and then select the YouTube Icon up top
next to the quote, pictures, URL buttons.

This will put the [ youtube ] [ /youtube] prompts in the post

Past the URL and then delete the link info up to the video number.

the video number is the last part of the url and is an odd number/letter sequence.

example here is the url to a video

h ttp ://www. youtube. com/ watch?v = zZlUoIm0oEg (I put in spaces)
the video ID is the bolded part (its not normally bold but I did it so your old fart
greybeard eyes could see it LOL)

Now copy just that id zZlUoIm0oEg after the = sign

Now Go Advanced, Select Youtube

[YOUTUBE ] zZlUoIm0oEg [ / YOUTUBE] (spaces added)

and you get this

[YOUTUBE]zZlUoIm0oEg[/YOUTUBE]

So easy an old fart greybeard can do it... :roflmao:

See the link in your post as a url, find the video name/ID = gkccqolaVGg

now instead of using the globe URL link button use the Youtube
button you see after clicking the Go Advanced Button below the quick reply.

The youtube Button won't show up unless you click the Go Advanced

This is what it looks like

then press the youtube button you will see

[youtube ] [ / youtube]

paste gkccqolaVGg between them and voila

[youtube]gkccqolaVGg[/youtube]
