Just keeps going to that cruise ship. I looked it up online and says they are going to be 700 pounds lighter due to the fact they are building the body out of aluminum. So does that mean you can crush them like a coke can and toss em in the recycle bin :)

Made out of Military Grade aluminum.
Don't guess you worked with aluminum much.
I build locking bars out of aluminum in the 60's doing locksmith work..
Built tractor trailers made out of aluminum.
They got aluminum Flat beds. Frame is even aluminum.
    They haul thousands of lbs.

    Got aluminum Gas tankers.

Aircraft take off and land everyday. They are made out of aluminum.
Store Fronts are made out of aluminum.
The high rises windows are held in with aluminum and rubber strips.

The list goes on and on.

You need to git out more.

I like my Dodge truck and know people that has had to many problems with their F-150.
You ever see what happens to Aluminum when it oxidizes, yes I know as I have had to inspect homes that had aluminum window frames and structural frames. Like I said I'll stick to my 2007 Dodge truck.
Yea know you never buy a vehicle when they first come out with it. Better wait before buying to see the problems that arise.

Ford F150's outlast them all, hold resale better and are the LAST true American company in the car business and the only one the government didn't get it's
    hands into.

Aluminum is used in a lot of cars today, Rover, Mustang, Nissan Z car, Audi etc.

Part of the reason you don't see a lot of full body cars in Aluminum is cost, you'd have to go to a much stronger version of it because cars are Unibody. It's coming though,

The F150 has a full chassis, so having an aluminum body isn't the structural
issue it would be in a small unibody car.

    Looks cool....

Their transmission is the weak point. Know lots of them that failed under 100,000 miles being driven normal with regular maintenance. Maddog just had to replace his at around 70,000 miles.
