I put forward controls on my ironhead and want to take the existing foot pegs off. On the shifting side there is a large bolt that comes out of the outer primary cover. I was wondering what others have done to cover, cut, remove ... this bolt.

    Thanks

the stud on the left side goes thru the primary. you will need to unscrew it and put a plug in it so the oil won't run out, makes a big mess.

the one on the right holds the kicker cover on for support for kicker (if u have one). if no kicker you can unscrew it you might need to put a plug in also. the hole might be a blind hole.(does not go all the way thru)
for got to ask what year ?
