Hello, i recently replaced my front brake pads on my 96 Fatboy,I followed instructions to the t, because this is my first bike and my first time working on the brakes and now my front caliper is loose, are there some shims that are not on the diagram in the service manual, i have taken it apart a couple times to double and triple check my work, but it looks like i did it according to instructions. it has about a 1/8" play side to side. Anyone have this problem in the past? I am about to take it to a shop, but i would like to do it myself i am working on a limited budget.
    Thanks in advance. :wtf:

If I'm not mistaken, that bike has a "floating" caliper, which is supposed to have a little side-to-side movement when the pads are fully compressed into it. That way when the brake is applied & the pads come out to squeeze on the rotor, the caliper aligns itself to the rotor.
