My friend has an 09 Ultra says his front tire is starting to cup, anyone got any ideas what might be causing this to happen? 11,000 miles on tire.

If it is the D407F if he goes to the dealer and complains about it he should be able to get it changed to a D408F

There will be a running change to the front tire on 2009 models. Dunlop D407F front
tires will be changing over to D408F tires during the first half of calendar year 2009. The
primary difference between the two constructions is the direction of the tread. This will
be executed as a running change for MY2009. The D408F tire will offer improved tire
wear for some customers over the D407F.

Lucifer, thanks for the recall info, my friend got his tire replaced by the stealer at no charge. seems Dunlop had made the mistake and the tread or the direction arrows where put on wrong. I have seen new bikes on the showroom floor with the old tires still on them.
