Been unemployed for a year and a half now and have to let go of my ride. Just over 7800 miles, blue/black 2-tone, chrome forks, power commander and tuned. Always garaged and always handled with TLC. Looking to get my payoff for it and no more...which is about 19000. I will post pics when I can find the damn camera

if I had 19k cash right now i would buy it. I think that i am leaning towards a touring bike for my next ride.

I hope that you are able to find work soon.

Just keep the head up, they will come to see that there is a quality person that needs work.

    What is your profession?

Sorry to hear this, selling ones bike would be a hard thing to do for sure but do understand. My business has been so slow this year I've been living off savings. That's one reason why I've been on this board so much lately as there's noting else to do and don't want to spend the money going anyplace. We do, do some riding on weekends but that's been about it. So I understand and hope things change for you.
I also understand about being a 50 year old white male and not being able to get hired. No they don't discriminate course not. :(

I've worked in the IT field for several years but am finding that younger (and cheaper) is the direction. Just hanging in there and hoping this all turns around soon.

Got laid off in October of 08, didn’t work until early may when I took a part time job for a nonprofit driving a bus for disabled persons. On a good week I may get 20 hours at $9.00 an hour. Far cry from the $50,000 plus job I had 2 years ago. Glad that everything is paid for except our house. Then last month I had to have a pacemaker put in. Lots of medical bills with that. With all that said we are still blessed, still have our bikes and food to eat. And I started getting Social Security, not that it gives you a secure feeling.
