i have an 84' fxst. i'm thinking about stripping it down and having the frame and swingarm powdercoated. if i do this will it be a pain to get the motor and tranny realigned? anyone have any tips, suggestions, or ideas on this?

You can scribe the current places in the metal with an awl or pick, then tape off where you want the motor to mount and the trans, you really don't want powder coat where the motor hits the frame, you want metal to metal for better conductivity for grounds.

Shouldn't be that difficult, take pictures, measure and then just take your time when you install.
