Gas Tanks

    I Have A 96 Fxdwg That Needs A Gas Tank. Can Any One Tell Me What Years Would Fit. Thanks Linda

    If you go to tejasthumpcycles.com they have a bunch there that will pretty much fit anything from like 95 & up on a FXDWG but they will cost you...better off going on e-bay & lookin for some new tins. if you don't mind me askin, wheres the one that was on the bike ?

    Tank Is Banged Up Bad. Befor I Go On E-bay I Need To Know What Years Will Fit. This Will Give More Tanks To Look At. Thanks For Your Info Henry

    Hey Linda, have you looked at some of the aftermarket suppliers? I don't know if you're in a position to paint the tank or have it painted, but the catalogs will tell you what will fit (usually). Some tins are pretty reasonable. Just a thought....Good luck :D

    There were several changes made to tanks and mounts on the Dyna Wide Glide in the later 1990's. According to Harley there are specific models for the 93-94 FXDWG, 95-96 FXDWG, and 97-up FXDWG. The differences might be very minor which you could get around, but if you are looking for direct replacements go with a 95-96 model.

    Getting into spring(I hope) there are usually swap meets,If ebay doesn't have anything you could try them.

    www.elvisplace.com sells parts from bikes he gets off wrecked, salvage, dealers, wherever

    Be sure you know your tank and watch the descriptions he's off on the model from time to time so know the PN and what the part looks like, there are some good deals there.
