I'll agree with chucktx on this one ,I use the sta-bl in all my tractors & lawn equipment , down here we don't have to put our bikes up for the winter months

Toni- Be sure to fill it up and add the sta-bill - a half empty tank will cause rust in the tank due to the water in the gas.:)

Moistuer can build up & start to rust to start with , weather a half tank or empty , even run bone dry , they when you pull it out to play with it , it don't work right

Very true and this thread reminds me to get the riding more out, fill it up puts some stabil in it, then run it for awhile before storing it in the tool shed.

Toni - good to see you on line again.
As for the water in the tank look at your cars exhaust when its running and you will see drops of water dripping from the exhaust this is caused by moisture in the fuel. For a 20 gal tank of fuel a car produces about 1 gallon of water and that is why muffler systems rust out and need replaced. Keeping the tank full when its stored helps keep the water from rusting the inside of the tank and the fuel stabilizer prevents the fuel from turning to varnish from sitting to long. Hope this help clear up the reason why it needs to be done. :)
Cardboard puts JACK in his so he don't have to worry about getting cold when he's ridin on a cold day. Keeps the tank dry and cardboard warm!!:roflmao::roflmao:
