Nice video HRK. There's nothing like the sound of a group of Harleys going down the road.

We went for a ride today also: "5 Mountain Passes". It was a little cold @ 8AM but it's one of our favorite rides (all of them over 11,000 ft). Yes, I had my electric liners on too.

Riding Deal's Gap at night? You need a better headlight HRK.

I had a similar experience last year coming home late at night from a long ride. I was only about 20 miles from home and didn't want to stop, but still had to go over Monarch Pass (11,900 ft.) in the rain. Even with h.i.d. headlight, the rain-soaked road swallowed most of my light, and scared the crap out of me several times. Had to empty my drawers when I got home.

That's way over at the western tip of N.C. Never been that way. Speaking of mountains, I'll be crossing the Alegheny Mountains through Virginia and West Virginia on state highway 250 on my way up to Ohio next month. It's supposed to be a beautiful route . . .:D

I'm not sure I'd want to be riding the gap at night. I'm getting to the stage where I really dislike riding at night..between the critters and the drunks..had some scares with both. some day I'll get out that way. that ride didn't look like a lot of fun.
