    going out to blow up fire works with the 13yr old grand son in the drive way , had a lot of rain the past few days so all is wet :D

    Wonder how we ever made it settin off fireworks in the 50's when I was a kid.
    Never had to have anybody telling us its dry outside not to set off fireworks.
    We did what we wanted to.
    CAn't remember of a fire from Fireworks either.
    And the Black Cat firecrackers, Cherry Bombs, and M80 were a lot stronger then than now..........:banghead:

    yep, the only thing we ever hurt was my fingers from thinking I was a bad a$$ and tried holding a black cat untill it was to late. :cussing: :roflmao:

    Yep we had a Blast with the fire crackers and rockets. Crap now days all the good stuff is outlawed here and whats left you can use is not worth even messing with. :(

    agree.....but.....the smoke, fire and flame from a "blank" loaded .54 cal flinter is REALLY cool!!!!!!

    I did black powder shooting and Rendezvous for over twenty years with my dad, had some very good times.

    I looked up the Rendezvous site and it's really cool. Besides the shooting I dug the tomahawk throws and the buckskins. In the 50's we used to dig holes in telephone poles with our pocket knives and set cherry bombs off in them! I suppose we were lucky no one got his eye put out, but I recieved my share of splinters!
