Took my 3 pistols & yer pistol to a indoor range
Realize my 9mm ammo is old
    About 9 shells didn't 't shoot
Got a new box of ammo
    Every bullet shot
    And non of them jammed
Lois said yer pistol shoots good
    She shot my 40
    Didn't like it
    She shot my 45
She likes it better than the 40

I'm glad you put the part in there about taking her to Red Lobster cause I was beginning to worry about you.:roflmao:

45 don't have the pressure that a 40 has, 40 has more snap than a 9mm or 45 cal. Even the XDS has less kick than my XD 40 has.

I haven't shot in about 4 yrs. Found myself pulling a little to the left. with the 40. Don't know why. All 3 pistols are the same size.
Glad I got rid of the Old ammo of all 3 caliburs.

OL has some cupons for Red Lobster that was about to run out.
We ate for a little less than 20.00 including the tip
Got some gun scrub and Remington gun lube while I was there.

Never heard of ammo going bad, I have been stocking up on it for quit a bit, but I also shoot a lot. The reason your pulling left might be that your grip is wrong might be gripping it to hard.

I bought a 92FS about 25 yrs ago. Don't think I ever shot all the 9mm ammo I had with it. Dug the ammo out of a drawer. Wanted to shoot all the Old
9mm, 40 black talon, and 45 shells I had. The 40 shot good, the 45 shot good. But the 9mm , I had several rounds that the firing pin struck it and it didn't fire. One round jammed in the gun and didn't eject.
After I fired all the old ammo. I loaded the new Independence 9mm ammo. And shot it. All cycled good, all ejected good.
YOu got to realize all these pistols are brand new and only the 9mm had been shot about 4 times by my nephew.
Just got threw using Gun Scrub and Remington rem Oil on them and reloading them and put them back where they go.

I'm well aware of what the 40 does. It was my main carry pistol in a Gen 1 glock for nearly 20 yrs.
The 40 cal bullet has more velocity than the 45.
But the 45 is like throwing a garbage can at you.
When it hits you, yer down. If I hit you in the arm yer down even.
And the 45 does a little damage when it hits.
I'm just old, I like the 45. Even If I don't hit you, you will be running from the sound.

When I went to the range yesterday and used only one hand and looked threw the sights in a INdoor range. I pulled the pistol up and looked at the sights and said Dauym, I'm getting Old. I can't hardly see the sights front and back.
Gees man. This is bad. I can see out in from of me, but not both super good.

I went and had a eye exame done and that's one reason why I was not posting a short while back for a few days. I had to have eye surgery done. Had it done in the left eye first and they replaced the entire lens in my eye and put a new artificial one in. The right eye is going to be done on the 14th of this month. I won't have to wear glasses at all anymore to see distance but still will need them to see my gun sights or read. Sucks getting older but it happens to everyone.
Sounds like you may need glasses to see up close, get a eye test done.

Years ago when I had my locksmith business I could see up close real, real good.
I bass fished bass tournaments. I run my bass boat close to 80mph across the water. The lakes in Texas IN lousiana has stumps and some markers in them. I was running sometimes at stumps that I thought was markers.
I had lasik surgery done. My right Eye was done to see far off. My left eye was left to see up close.
Well it left me blind up close. Couldn't use a bore a scope in a safe anymore.
And doing impressioning work to make keys, I was totally messed up and couldn't see marks on keys.
I could see far off. But needed glass's up close.
That was well over 12 yrs ago.
I was 62 last year. Not as Old as you Flht. Yer a OLd fart.
Don't push myself to do anything anymore.
I used to go ride 500 miles a day.
Don't care to ride 500 miles anymore. I might miss my nap.
When it comes nap time, I have to lay down or fall down.
You have to watch it when you git older, you might hurt yerself.
    Look at Chucktx.
He gits up at 4:00 to drink coffee with his wife. Then she leaves and he goes back to sleep. He gets up around 8:00 and eats or goes outside and feeds the chickens and goes to the garage if its warm outside. Then around 11:00 its time to come in the house and eat lunch and drink something.
At 1:00 he's back asleep till around 3:30
Then he gits up and gets ready to start supper for his wife to come in from work.
You need yer rest when you get older.

I didn't have that Lasik surgery done. I had Cataract surgery done. Both eyes will be the same. I will need reading glasses for up close. I also still ride 500-700 mile days yea old fart and were the same age by the way. :D

Had the cataract surgery myself about 3-4 years ago. No more glasses, and only sometimes readers .25 mag. Got them "Flexible" lenses where your eye muscles focus them. Never got them good enough to totally eliminate readers but my father-in-law who was 73 when he had them done doesn't need glasses or readers anymore.

I'm 61 and after getting laid-off I found myself getting into a routine like you guys (a RUT). Keep moving, do something or you will die young from being an "Old Fart". Just Saying

Right now I can see 20/20 out of the left eye and will get the right eye done on the 14th. I have to do eye drops 4 times a day still. Looking forward to not having to wear glasses. Not sure how its going to affect shooting.
