Got a phone call from the OL today - she was at the doctors office and they wouldn't let her drive home as they wanted to send her to the hospital, so she calls me to come and get her.
Took her into the hospital and they tell me the bottom half of her heart is shot and they are going to send her to the cardic department for an emer. procedure they wouldn't let me take her but called a ICU ambulance to transport her.
When I got downtown to the hospital I was told that she needed a pacemaker put in ASAP as her heart was plugged and she was down to 30 HBpm - so after 8 hours of sitting there they finally put a temporary one in and tomorrow she is going to get a permant pacemaker installed. hopefully this will get her back on her feet and running.

What happened to where she had to go in? Was she noticeably not feeling well so she decided to go in or was it routine check ups? Sorry to hear this, I hope she gets to feeling good fast. My thoughts are with the both of you.:)

OL had been feeling wore out and had a couple of fainting spells - she hates going to the doctor so my daugther bugged her until she did and it's a good thing I think. Am heading for the hospital today to see how she's doing - they are going to put her under the knife about 5:00pm to put in a permamant pacemaker.
Will let you all know what is going on as soon as I find out.
Thanks for all the concern from the family here - it is greatly apprecated.:)

Pacemakers are a good thing I just had one put in on May 28th and feel much better than I did before, and my heart beat is regular for the first time in many years. Heck it don’t even hurt (much) to have it put in takes a couple of hours. My incision is just about healed. They just super glued it closed. Have put on about 5 thousand miles since getting it put in.
My prayers are with you and her and the hospital staff working on her.

A bad beginning turns out well. The OL came out of the ordeal with a new pacemaker and everything turns out good - she will be coming home tomorrow and up and around in a couple of days. Her heart rate dropped to 10 beats per minute just as they were bringing her in and without the PM I don't think she would have made it.
But the good LORD was watchin over her and she should be fine.:)
